JOE TULIAO
Co-creator | Producer Joe Tuliao (he/they) is a Filipino-Canadian choreographer, director, and producer known for pushing creative boundaries in dance and film. A Leo Award winner for Love Song by Warren Flandez, Joe also earned a nomination for Joy Ride (Lionsgate), choreographing its standout K-pop scene. His credits span RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race, Nike, Disney, and Nickelodeon. Joe directs live performances with Illustrative Society, co-produces Innovate Dance Film Showcase, and co-founded 8 Magazine. Passionate about representation, Joe continues to shape the entertainment industry with innovative storytelling and movement.
meaghan gipps
Meaghan Gipps (she/her) is a Vancouver-based filmmaker and photographer specializing in dance. With over 10 years of experience collaborating on dance shows, conventions, studios, and concept videos, she has a deep passion for capturing dancers at every stage, from rehearsal to performance. Her love for documenting movement and storytelling led her to co-create Innovate alongside Joe Tuliao, a platform dedicated to bringing more dance to the big screen.

Tavia christina
Tavia Christina (they/them) is an award winning multi-hyphenate artist who embraces their ethereal nature as a driving force in artistic expression and research. Their work seamlessly blends genres across dance, theatre, and performance art. Their practice is rooted in somatic movement and spiritual endurance. With a background spanning Western contemporary dance, street dance, and classical ballet, Tavia also holds interests in various other art forms, including curation, music, acting, poetry, film, and death work. In their freelance career, they won “best choreography” at Innovate Film Festival in 2025 and joined as a producer the following year, have been nominated for a Dora Mavor Moore award, and are working as an artistic director at adelheid facilitated through The Metcalf Foundation.
